How Much do Surveys Cost?

Level 2 Service 

Our Level 2 Home Survey is appropriate for properties under 50 years old or generally in good condition. Our Surveyor will spend 2-3 hours assessing the property and a further 5-6 hours preparing and compiling the report. All our Surveyors are happy to discuss the report findings and key points with clients by telephone if they are concerned or need clarification.  

The fee for a Level 2 Home Survey can range from £700 to £7000 depending on the property.

Level 3 Service

Our Level 3 Home Survey is the most comprehensive and detailed report you can get. This service is recommended for older or dilapidated properties, non-standard properties with potentially challenging material choices or construction methods, listed and historically important properties and properties with visible signs of defects where the purchaser requires advice on the nature and costs related to repair along with maintenance programmes. However, this service can be applied to a property of any age, regardless of whether it is a flat or an entire house. 

It provides a comprehensive analysis of both the property's structure and condition. 

This option is worthwhile if you are planning to do significant work or have major concerns. The report will identify any issues inside and out and give advice on how to repair and maintain it along with estimated remedial costs and a market appraisal offered in the form of a complimentary property report.

The Level 3 Home Survey can cost anything from £780 for a one-bed flat up to £9,000+ for a 5-bed mansion, but this depends on the individual property's size and value.
