What is a Home Survey?

    Known either as Residential Property Reports, Home Surveys or Building Surveys, these are often misunderstood in terms of what is offered. Our service follows the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors’ guidelines (RICS) and is based upon a detailed visual inspection and some non-invasive testing techniques. As a result of such an inspection, photography and testing, a detailed report is compiled and issued to assist you when considering your options and risks. 

We offer Level 2 and Level 3 surveys; these are slightly different in the content of the reporting, and we will be happy to discuss the differences in the reporting standard with you when you have found a property that you wish to proceed with. 

Properties come in all shapes, sizes and conditions and depending upon the type of purchase you are making, we tailor our service to suit your needs. 

Dilapidated or non-standard properties can often pose challenges to both repair, maintenance and in some cases mortgage financing and we can quickly provide you with the necessary information to assist with these issues. 

Each Home Survey is a bespoke and in-depth report and includes a detailed summary highlighting the issues that require attention or further investigation.
